Social Move has no server and no account system. Every setting, activity log, and piece of health data the app reads stays stored locally on your own phone. Nothing is transmitted to us, sold, or shared with any third party.
With your permission, Social Move reads workout, step, and activity data from Apple Health to determine how much time you've earned. This data is read-only — the app never writes anything back to Health, and never leaves your device. If you use Manual Activity Mode instead, activity is entered by hand and stored the same way, on-device only.
Consult a physician before starting any new exercise routine, especially if you have a pre-existing health condition. Any activity threshold used in the app (including step counts or exercise minutes) reflects a personal configuration choice, not a professional medical recommendation.
Selected apps are blocked by default. Physical activity the previous day — or a Rest Day or trusted-contact override — temporarily unblocks them in fixed time windows. This is implemented using Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks, which are outside Social Move's control and are not guaranteed to function perfectly at all times, including possible delays or blocking failures. This feature should not be relied upon as a failsafe for any safety-critical purpose.
Deleting Social Move immediately removes all restrictions it applies — an intentional release valve for genuine emergencies. This also permanently erases everything stored on your device, including your trusted-contact code, birthday, and activity history, since none of it exists anywhere else. Restoring or resetting your device has the same effect.
A birthday you provide is used only to suspend blocking on that calendar day each year. It's stored solely on your device, can be changed once per calendar year, and is never transmitted anywhere.
Articles, coach routines, health tips, and local business offers shown in the app are provided by outside contributors or public sources, and linked to or displayed with attribution where applicable. Social Move does not independently verify medical claims made by third-party contributors.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here and, where practical, noted in the app itself.
