The Social Move app has no accounts, no analytics, and no ads. The activity data, settings, codes, and habits you use in the app stay on your phone. We don't collect, sell, or share personal information from the app. Our website uses Google Analytics, described below.
Apple Health. With your permission, the app reads your steps, workouts, and active energy from Apple Health to work out how much time you've earned. This is read-only: Social Move never writes to Health. The data is used only inside the app on your phone. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and it is never used for advertising or marketing.
Screen Time. The apps you choose to block are handled through Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks. Apple represents your choices as private tokens that stay on your device.
What you enter. Your Hard Pass code, birthday, habits and check-offs, manual activity entries, and settings are stored only on your device.
Notifications. The "Time's up" reminder is a local notification created on your phone. We don't run a notification server.
The Perks, articles, routines, and health tips shown in the app are downloaded from a content database we maintain, hosted by Airtable. These requests don't include your Health data, your codes, your birthday, or anything else you've entered. As with any internet request, the host can see your device's IP address.
The website has no sign-up or contact forms. Earlier, while the app was in testing, people could request beta access by entering a name and email address in a form processed by Formspree. We used those only to reply and to send app invitations, we don't sell or share them, and we delete them if you ask. The site is hosted by Netlify, which may keep standard server logs such as IP addresses.
The website also uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people view. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. We use it only on the website, never in the app. You can block it in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
We don't run advertising, we don't use analytics or tracking tools in the app, and we don't sell or share your information.
Social Move is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Manual Activity Mode lets a parent or guardian log activity for a child. That information stays on the device where the app is installed and is never sent to us.
Deleting the app erases everything it stores on your device. We keep nothing from the app, so there is nothing else to delete. To have your name and email removed from our website list, email us.
You can turn off Social Move's access at any time in your iPhone's Settings app: Health access under Privacy & Security → Health, and Screen Time access under Screen Time → Apps With Screen Time Access. Without them, the app can't work.
